I (Jim) met Mary in 2004 through our professional work capacity as youth offending officers. Realising we were both christians I organised a regular work prayer meeting where we began to become great friends. Then unexpectedly in 2005 the Lord gave Mary a dream about Jim being her future husband and unknowingly around the same time I heard the voice of the Lord tell me Mary would be my wife. It took till December of that year before I told Mary what the Lord had said and Mary replied ‘I know’! Then we were married in 2008. We were serving in our local church throughout these early years helping to produce and plan a yearly christian music festival. However in 2009 the Lord clearly moved us out of this role and into a new call to prayer and worship. We joined the newly formed House of Prayer community and threw ourselves into day and night prayer and worship. In 2011 we became the Leaders of the House of prayer, and over the years the Lord has greatly expanded the ministry. Now we are in a transitional time of handing over the House of prayer to the next leaders whilst we oversee and encourage them. We also have been recently comissioned (Oct 2025) to lead the Houses of Prayer British Isles network. We are excited and humbled to serve the Lord in this capacity. We will be travelling and networking across the British Isles equipping, encouraging and standing with other leaders as the Lord leads.
