Had a great night’s sleep but my kit was still wet.. it was like putting on a wet swimming costume or wetsuit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Got underway by 08.30, it was again windy but my route took me down many back lanes so there was some hedge cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 9am  my first appointment was before me. An old farmer Peter was busy feeding his cows. We did morning pleasantries as I rode past but just felt to double back and have a chat. I helped him feed his cows and after ten minutes and hearing the headlines of his backstory he asked what I was doing? Once I explained he outlined some family pain he was still carrying. I asked to pray and he accepted prayer and shared about his own faith. Such an honour to share Jesus into these tough situations. Please do pray for Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I continued the 40km to Mullingar and with my wet gear strapped to the outside of my panniers I was creating a drying wind! I stopped for a coffee and scrambled eggs on toast. Sat on the street in the sunshine was quite different to yesterday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My journey continued towards Athlone and then onto The Green Way a 40km section of disused railway converted to a bike track. It was flat and easy riding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I came to the end of the Greenway, a young chap on a touring bike asked where I was going. It was another divine appointment. This guy had had some struggles but as I shared my testimony and prayed for him he explained he had a friend who was a pastor… his journey continues.. as did mine. I was only 6 minutes from my hosts home in Athlone followed by a home cooked dinner at a friends parents house. A fruitful day. For His glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
