{"id":2541,"date":"2024-09-18T10:09:18","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T09:09:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ndhop.org\/?p=2541"},"modified":"2024-09-18T10:09:18","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T09:09:18","slug":"day-29-exmouth-to-plymouth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/4acrefarm.co.uk\/?p=2541","title":{"rendered":"Day 29 Exmouth to Plymouth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Had a day of rest yesterday and as trains from Exmouth run via Exeter to Barnstaple it was.. &#8220;rude not to&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So this morning we loaded the van with 5 bikes and 7 people and took the drive back down to Exmouth to the same spot I&#8217;d finished 36hrs before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4acrefarm.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240917_100505501870753222719082-577x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2544\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Once unloaded it felt like a timely moment for Apphia to ride solo without training wheels and she did it!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4acrefarm.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240917_1120158579666217820840430-1024x474.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2543\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We rode North towards Exeter stopping outside Lympstone Marine base to pray for the soldiers and for safety of the UK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After stopping for ice cream at Aldi we continued to cross the Exe at Countess Weir and then headed back South towards Dawlish and to Starcross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4acrefarm.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/17265732684127015555366431191902-473x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2545\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">We spent sometime praying at Powderam Castle! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We met up with Mary at Powderam. Re loaded the car and had a picnic watching the deer from a distance. We again said goodbye and Mary and the Children headed back North to Barnstaple for a commitment in the prayer room (4acrefarm.co.uk\/) while I headed North and West out towards dartmoor and onto Plymouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This last leg I&#8217;ve really been a bit more conservative with the bike. It&#8217;s faithfully carried me many miles and I&#8217;m keen we get to arrive at Lands End in the next few days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4acrefarm.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240914_1156151112014751798680533-1024x473.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2546\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So I continued skirting the South edge of Dartmoor. Stopping for food in Ashburton and then looking into Buckfast Abbey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4acrefarm.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240917_1641091506945837551163423-473x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2547\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Buckfast Abbey had an interesting &#8216;vibe&#8217; should I say.. more prayer and then on my way again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This time via Ivybridge and then Plympton and onto Eggbuckland to stay with friends Mark and Jane.
